Privacy

This page describes what this website actually does with information. It was written against the code that runs it rather than from a template, so where it says something is not collected, nothing collects it.

Who is responsible

What this site stores on your device

• Theme preference — if you switch between light and dark, that choice is kept in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
• Comparison selection — options you add to the compare tray are kept in session storage for the length of your visit, so the tray survives navigation. It is cleared when you close the tab.
• A dismissed prompt — if you close the recommendation bar on a phone, that is remembered in session storage so you are not asked again on the next page.

None of these identifies you, and none of them is sent to us or to anyone else. They are not advertising cookies and they are not used for tracking.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful and where the comparison experience fails them. It sets cookies and processes data on Google’s infrastructure. We record a small, fixed set of product events — a comparison started, a filter used, a provider link followed — and deliberately do not track beyond that.

The index update list

If you enter your email address to receive the index update, we store that address and the page you signed up from, so we know which part of the site was useful. Nothing else is stored with it, the list is never sold or shared, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by writing to partners@clinicpartnerguide.com.

Email you send us

If you write to any address on our contact page, we keep that correspondence so we can answer it and, for corrections, so we have a record of what was changed and why. Please do not send patient information, prescriptions or medical records: this is a business publication with no clinical role, and no address here is an appropriate destination for health data.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request logs, including IP address and user agent, for security and reliability. We do not combine those with anything else and we do not use them to build a picture of individual readers.

Processors

The site is hosted on Vercel, and the index update list is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase. Both process data on our instructions in order to run the service.

Retention

Index update addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful to the matter it concerns. Server logs are kept for the period our hosting provider retains them, which is short and outside our control.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how it is used. Write to partners@clinicpartnerguide.com and we will answer. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Children

This is a business publication for clinics and healthcare operators. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to the privacy address and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The index update list is held in a table that the public API key cannot read at all — it is written by a server-side key that never reaches the browser.

Changes

If this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described rather than made quietly.
